We pride ourselves on being an adolescent led foundation, bringing young minds to the forefront of mental health awareness. While Filipinos are resilient, the overwhelming pressure of meeting expectations causes many people to reach a breaking point. The Philippines is also unequipped to serve millions of people suffering from mental illness. At PCMH, we recognize the struggles that Filipino children and their families experience due to the stresses of daily life and the stigma that remains of those with mental illness. We hope to give adolescents the ability to grow from their experiences by having thoughtful conversations and by participating in activities with our volunteers. Ultimately, we envision a Philippines absent of harsh judgement towards the mentally ill, where all children can openly seek help and guidance for coping with their struggles.
Excited to announce that we are under registration to become a UN Partner Organization! This will provide better opportunities for collaborative projects and funding, so stay tuned for further updates.
